| MORE ABOUT BACKORDERING. |
'Pool' allows its users to identify and backorder Pending Delete and Expired domains for free. Then, utilising their proprietary acquisition software, Pool attempts to secure these domains on behalf of their users when they become available.
When Pool secures a backordered domain on behalf of a user, they will be charged the low acquisition fee of US$60.
In the event that more than one Pool.com customer backorders a domain, and Pool is successful in acquiring the domain, an auction will follow amongst the customers who backordered the domain. The highest bidder wins the auction and the winning bid replaces the standard acquisition fee. The highest bidder is then obligated to pay to Pool the amount of the winning bid.
In both situations, the acquisition fee includes a one-year domain registration.
If no bids are placed on a particular domain during an auction, Pool will register the domain on behalf of the first customer who placed the backorder on the domain. The customer will then be charged the standard acquisition fee of US$60.
