All registrars for .com, .org and .net 'gTLD' (generic Top Level Domains) domain names must be accredited by ICANN. The Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers is the non-profit making management body, set-up in October 1998 by the US government to represent the global and functional diversity of the Internet and its users.
Following the break-up of Network Solutions' (NSI) exclusive right to register .com, .org and .net domains, the Shared Registration System (SRS) was formed in spring 1999. The SRS is the domain registration system, which allows ICANN accredited registrars to register domains through one shared, central registry. There are currently 490 registrars worldwide and Total Registrations is the first UK based ICANN accredited registrar to go live.
As an ICANN accredited registrar, Total Registrations can register your .com, .org and .net 'gTLD' domains at wholesale prices and offer discounts for high volume registrations. More…
